7274: VSS hogs CPU even when IntelliJ idle
I have a project using VSS. The SS.exe executable spawned by IntelliJ shows a CPU usage ~50% in the task manager window even when IntelliJ is idle (e.g. when I'm using a different application). I've opened http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEA-14929 to track this
Until this issue is resolved... Does anyone know if there is a configuration option in IntelliJ (other than disabling VSS) that would prevent SS.exe from hogging my CPU?

The JIRA item has a CPU snapshot. Is that sufficient for you? If not how can I enable/turn on IDEA log, and where is the log file located?

CPU just reflects the problem. IDEA log file contains step by step VSS operations
which can make the picture more clear.
