File repasing and inspections performance if more than one project open

Hi,

Just curious - did somebody noticed significant performance degradation
of file reparsing and inspections (up to several seconds) if two
different projects are opened within the same IDEA instance or I'm the
only "lucky" with this?

I understand that it's not very usual to work with several projects
simultanelusly, but one of my project is custom code generation tool and
ones is project which uses results of such codegeneration, and that's
why it's convenient for me to have them opened together.

I think that such behavious appears for several last builds of Selena.

Regards,
Andrew

Yes, definitely. If I open two (or more) projects and place them side-by-side on my screen, I can see that an edit in one projects causes all open projects to reparse. Editing code this way is frustrating.
I mentioned this in http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEA-11775 but I should really open a separate JIRA entry for it.

I'm working most of the time with up to four different projects
simultaneously, and I don't see any major inconveniences. Sometimes it
takes some time to switch between projects, i.e. the newly activated
IDEA frame remains unresponsive for some seconds. But apart from that
everything works smooth and fine.

BTW: These are rather big projects, with about 1500 classes and over
300'000 lines of code each.
