Possible bug: I notice that when I set a custom type renderer for a type then select the 'Copy Value' option for the custom rendered debugger variable, it copies the default renderer output, not the custom renderer output.
Another Problem: When I set the custom renderer to output HTML (e.g. a table), the tooltip displays it as plain text - it would be nice to have the option to have the tooltip render HTML the same way the Swing tooltips do.
My problem is that I have some complex objects (variable rows of fields) whose values I'd like to see in tabular form, and I have methods that will give me HTML output for display. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way of using a custom renderer to get the debugger to render the HTML, and no way to copy it for rendering externally...
The best I've been able to do so far is use the expression evaluator to generate the HTML, then copy it to an external application for display.
The best solution for me would be to enable the debugger tooltip to render HTML like the Swing tooltips.
