#7118 CVS changes not picked up

I just tried to update my project from CVS, but all the update options were greyed out. I refreshed the Changes panel, but no new changes showed. I closed IDEA and restarted it, then I was able to 'Update Project', but no changes arrived. I know there are changes because a CVS Diff shows them, but now the CVS Update options are greyed out again!

I now have to update from CVS using an external CVS manager... :(

I deleted all the caches, reloaded the project, and the problem has gone away. A bit worrying that IDEA may miss CVS updates without any indication, though.

How exactly is your project laid out, and how are the directory mappings
configured? When was the last time the update worked for you?

My project is laid out as two modules - server-side and client-side, each with source, resource and classes directories, and mirror test source, test resource and test classes directories, all directly under the content root for each module.

Not sure what you mean by 'directory mappings' - the directories on the disk are what I see in IDEA.

I can't be sure when the update last worked, but I think it broke when I re-opened this project after working on a branch project on a different drive... It looks like the CVS caches got messed up, but I couldn't fix it within IDEA. It might be handy to have a 'Rebuild Xxxx Caches' option for situations where an unexpected problem occurs that prevents normal operation.
