JVM crashing while debugging

I am trying to debugging a unit test and the VM is crashing when stepping over
Here the log

JVMCI161: FATAL ERROR in native method: Illegal ref passed to DeleteWeakGlobalRef

abnormal program termination
JVMDG217: Dump Handler is Processing a Signal - Please Wait.
JVMDG303: JVM Requesting Java core file
JVMDG304: Java core file written to C:\Documents and Settings\A6253567.HBEU\sandboxes\MI_logging\javacore.20070627.104357.220.txt
JVMDG215: Dump Handler has Processed Error Signal 22.

Any one seen this already ?
THis is using IBM JDK 1.4 bundled with WAS 5.1
java version "1.4.1"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1)
Classic VM (build 1.4.1, J2RE 1.4.1 IBM Windows 32 build cn1411-20031011 (JIT enabled: jitc))

I'm not sure if this is related to the vm itself or how IDEA interacts with it while debugging

One of the possible reasons could be the bug in implementation of JDI call "disableCollection" on an object reference. IDEA uses it
in order to prevent temporary evaluation objects from collection.
To workaround the bug, IDEA must be started with the following VM option:

-Didea.debugger.keep.temp.objects=false

Please let me know if this helped.
