Incoming Changes/Outdated version detection problems.

Seems Idea has got a bit confused. I am opening files for which I have
the up-to-date version but the Outdated box at the top of the file is
appearing saying it's out of date. Also I still have stuff in my
Incoming changes tab even though I've done an update.

I am using CVS and working on a branch. I'm getting these spurious
incoming change notifications about the branch I'm working on.

This is a pity as it's been working really well up to now even on a
branched sandbox.

Is there any more information I can give you to help resolve this? Also
is there any way to fix this locally - clear out some caches or
something? If not it would be great to have an option to be able to
disable the Outdated notification at the top of files as I find it quite
distracting.

Cheers,
N.

I noticed for SVN the bar doesn't go away when there are only line ending differences. This could be the case when svn:eol-style property hasn't been set on the file, and automatically converted into native on update locally. However, there's no change to the file as such and 'Show Diff...' just confirms it.

Hello Andrew,

Note that the outdated version detector does not compare contents of files.
It only compares the revision number of the file that you have locally to
the latest revision of the file committed to the server. So the behavior
you describe is expected if someone committed changes which only affect line
breaks.

Dmitry,

This happened even though I had the latest version. Must be related to non-updated caches in the latest builds or something.

I also have this problem. I'm hoping that the next EAP has improvements in how it detects incoming changes with branches.

This seems to have been resolved in build #7002.

I spoke too soon. After an automatic refresh (I foolishly decided to check the checkbox), Incoming changes is showing commits from today, last week and this month on HEAD while I currently have a branch off HEAD checked out.
