add as library

right mouse click on a .jar file, e.g. in the lib folder within the project content root,
there should be an option "add as module library" or something like that.
I would find that very intuitive and useful.

This is a great idea and one that would make my life a little easier! +1

Should work for multi-selection as well.

Also add the reverse operation to easily remove a jar from a library.

It would be quite nice to have the option of adding it to an existing Project or Global library as well.

But I have a question: Do you exclude the lib folder from project?

In my case, I exclude it from project to help IDEA doesn't need to synchronize it 'cause sometime libraries are big.

Hello Michael,

We can do it easily but it would be difficult to discover this action in
the huge Project View Popup menu ...

Thank you.

How about making the Popup Menus smarter? E.g. more node dependent?
In this case, (when on a Jar file) to display items that fit only to a JAR node (and even
more to distinct based on it's state - e.g. not "added as library")?

Ahmed.
