We have a .js file with Japanese in it. I have Selena (as I did Demetra
before it) set to UTF-8 encoding.
In Demetra everything was fine, but in Selena, even though the file
shows correctly, when I do a diff from the checked in version, the left
side (Perforce version) appears in the system default encoding rather
than the correct one, so all the lines with Japanese characters (or even
with ®) appear modified.
Is there some setting I missed in Selena or is it a bug?
To try, just put a ® character, check the file in and then check it out
and check for differences.
