intelij bugzilla integration part due ?

hi...

after coming from eclipse with it's mylyn i find it very usefull to have an integrated issue tracker, so usefull that i even re-wrote a connector to hp quality center to it..

now i wish to do the same here.. the problem is that i'm new to intelij, and i have no idea where to find proper documentation about it's inner workings (like you have in eclipse, the concepts of view, editors, actions, commands) and a tutorial for creating a plugin..not to mention an overview on the issue tracking framework..

now an additional thing, how to i test this, is there an easy way to install a bugzilla server ? perhaps a hosted one?

If you go to the IDEA Plugin page and scroll down, there is information on how to get started in writing plugins. It includes a link to the IntelliJ IDEA plugin Developer wiki which has a number of articles, including a overview of IntelliJ IDEA's architecture.

There is an old out-of-date (and apparently abandoned) Bugzilla plugin. It's source is out on GitHub (link on the plugin page). So that may be a good place to start. And of course you can look at the built-in implementations within IDEA's source code. Finally, for assistance, you'll want to ask questions in the Open API and Plugin Development forum.

Good luck. And welcome to The IntelliJ IDEA community.

i allready read the bit about architecture, however i noticed it talked about version 9, also what's changed from version 5 to 11 (cause i have  a book about version 5).
yes, i'm aware of bugilla -plugin, and my attempts to activate it i kept running into invalid user name password..

i'm trying to debug it, however i'm running into problems, for example, the source code does not include  iml files, but it does rely on the task.jar, unlike eclipse i cannot specify the depencies on other plugins, so i had to include them simply in the classpath.

another problem is that running intelij (the sandboxed one) doesn't recognize the bugzilla task provider, it simply doesn't show up.however it does showup on the installed plugins, i simply don't know where to being to look up, i tried breakpoints of the thing that extends BaseRepository , but nothing ah.. broke...
