Finally! A Clue! [IDEA Crashes Mac]

I have been having this recurring problem where IDEA causes my Mac to completely freeze up, forcing me to do a hard power down. The only time that I ever experience this problem is while running IDEA. Before today, there was no useful evidence of the problem.

The second time that it happened today, the Mac actually detected that something went wrong and when I rebooted, I got the machine diagnostic shown below.

I am running build 6117 (though I have had this same problem with many other builds) under a fully updated 10.4.8.

Any problem like that is going to be either a hardware/driver problem, your
OS, or bugs in native code or the JVM. I doubt IDEA is responsible for anything
other than acting as a trigger for the underlying problem.
