It looks like you installed the Ultimate Edition. You can see that at the top of the about screen you posted (in the graphic it shows Ultimate) as well as in the build number which says "IU-117.98". The U stands for Ultimate. The community edition build numbers, and installers, start with IC. So you'll need to go back the download page and grab the Community Edition and install it. (Also note that the Ultimate Edition has blue Icons/Shortcuts where as the Community Edition has gray ones.) Once installed, the community edition does not need any license or key to be entered.

Oh, too bad :( But I was very sure I clicked on the community version when I downloaded IntelliJ, waste of time downloaded. Thanks anyway!
