Remote Debug Trouble at JRuby Tomcat breakpoint won't halt

Hello

I would like to try to achieve debug Remote of https://www.chiliproject.org/ which
is deployed and running fine at tomcat

Tomcat is also setup as debug port 8000 and Remote debug attached went fine,
now when set some breakpoint which certain would be reached idea never halt
at those it shows connected message but from that it is far still
no sign of a running debugger

Now i don't know if it is due tomcat setup or idea project setup, someone could help ?

Where did you set the breakpoint, in ruby, java or jsp file?

I set breakpoint in ruby file "account_controller.rb" at login if statement,
which should be reached as soon as i do a login, to see debugger working
and i set a breakpoint at logout_user of def logout

Installed ruby plugin

I created new project and set ProjectStructure JSDK set to
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_05 and setup other SDK aswell ruby and jruby

Next i need to figure out how to import link the deployed source files which
i did through File AddModule create from existing source set to folder
tomcat\webapps\chiliproject\WEB-INF\app and click ok
(i noticed per folder you can define language 6.0 for example and sdk)

Next i launched tomcat windows service in debug mode don't know if this
debug mode went fine added lines below lines at end of already existing Java Options

-Xdebug
-Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=127.0.0.1:8000,server=y,suspend=y

Next i add configuration Tomcat Remote and un checked make and set 8000
at Debug tab then i did hit Debug square icon and noticed both debugger and
server are Connected to target,
then my already open browser loads chiliproject webpage and i did a login
then i expect a halt but this doesn't occur

@Nikolay here you can find steps i take to "install" chiliproject under a subfolder url running on tomcat windows service
https://www.chiliproject.org/boards/1/topics/1420?r=2044#message-2044

Next i did steps mentioned earlier, would be wonderfull to know if it is possible to use breakpoint on rb files and if so which step to take "to get it working"
maybe it is related at tomcat side i don't know or due additional gems to be "installed" like ruby-debug

Thanks in advance

the forum board is exploded by other threads and questions i wished this board has sub sections to post related questions

i go try eclipse (Free) for the mean while until i get a next reponse, anybody can tell if this is possible??

Unfortunately IDEA doesn't support debugging JRuby applications deployed on Tomcat. However some people use WEBrick during development to debug the
JRuby app (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8337804/is-there-a-way-to-debug-a-jruby-on-rails-application-running-on-a-tomcat-server), may be
it'll work for you too.
