Does Demetra post off-line messages to Jabber?

Hello,

Please correct me if I am wrong, but Demetra would not post message to an
off-line user. When off line user starts Demetra he will not receive any
pending messages from me until I start my Demetra as well. Why couldn't it
use off line messaging facility of Jabber?
