changes-tab suggestion (easy made & very useful)

when i want to commit my changes, i first have to check for updates. after i did this, i do NOT want to switch to the messages-tab. if there a conflicts, i'll know it because of a message box. if there are merges, i'll see it because of the files' colors.
if there are no changes, i just want to commit everything.
if i try to commit and can't, then i want to switch becuse i need to know why it failed.

You can file a JIRA request for this feature, however I don't think that
it will be implemented in the final release of 6.0, as we're focusing on
bug fixes now
