Breakpoint evaluated expression annoyance

The line breakpoint option to log an evaluated message to the console is wonderful, and I use it a lot, but I'd really like a way to switch off the logging of the expression itself, so that just the expression result is logged. The problem is that expressions of varying lengths make the expression results appear at different offsets in the output and can make it very difficult to see what is happening. If the expression result could be output at the start of a line, without the expression itself, things would be a lot clearer.

Is there any way to do this?

If not, a check-box to enable or disable the logging of the expression string would be a welcome addition.

Not that I've seen.

If I'd seen http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEA-1599 at the time
it would have had my vote. Seems a very reasonable feature request to me.

Gah! I never saw this JIRA either. Thanks for the link though.

I don't think anyone who uses the expression logging feature regularly would find it 'unnecessary clutter' to have an extra check box for it, and if you don't use the option, the checkbox isn't relevant...
