How to get rid of non-existing file from IDEA project?

In my project view, I have a file displayed many times (about 80-90 times). The file is marked with lock as read-only, it's name is "C:/nppdf32Log/debuglog.txt" (I'm on linux). The file was in my project's directory, but I removed it from filesystem (not by idea). I can't remove it from idea (clicking "OK" just doesn't do anything), and synchronizing project doesn't work.

How can I get rid of it?

I'm on idea 11.1.2. Ubuntu 12.04.

Best regards

Hi.

Brief googling returns this link: http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=78528

Please, check that topic. Looks not related to IDEA.

Alexander.

It doesn't help me. I can manually remove the file (and I did it), but still it appears in IDEA, and it's repeated over 80 times.

Try File | Invalidate Caches

Thanks, it helped.

However, I noticed that when the file is there (in the project's directory), it is added from time to time. So it's added once first, then after some time it's added again, than again etc., so after a long time I can see a lot of entries for the same file. (My assumption is it's caused by "strange" file name).
