Problems starting up 5622

Hi there,

5622 doesn't start up on my machine. I get the following error and all the
files in IDEA/bin directory (except idea.exe) get deleted when I try to start
it up (by doubleclicking the icon on the desktop). Any ideas?

Thx,
Andrei

Hello Andrei,

It was a clean directory. And then I reinstalled several times (after wiping
everything out) ending up with the same result. One thing I noticed was that
the idea.exe.vmoptions and idea.properties files were not there (but the
problem still occured after I copied them from an older istallation).

I managed to get past the problem by copying the bin directory from build
5594. I have a copy of the bin that deletes its content if you want to have
a look at it.

Best,
Andrei

Hello Grant,

GG> Not starting here either.. I installed over 5594.

Please reinstall to a clean directory. We changed the exe4j version and made
some changes to the installation layout, so it's strongly not recommended
to install 5622 over 5594. It's also not recommended to install any EAP build
over any other EAP build, but in this case it will cause problems.
