Is it at all feature to consolate ALL of the networking activity that IDEA performs into one robust error handling cancellable call?
Some network functions support this (CVS, most of the time), others are far less interrupt friendly. The worst offender for me currently is the error report. There's no cancel button, and half the time I just click submit and nothing at all happens. I know it's a network issue because whenever I try to go to the forums to post about it, they also seem to be down.
Thankfully this time they came up quickly enough that my annoyance and memory of the issue are still fresh ;)
So to recap, ANYTHING that makes a network call should provide a cancel button that acts immediately (in the past, there's been the odd cancel button that does nothing beyond turn grey when clicked, making it possibly the most useless cancel button in the history of popup dialogs).
