how about fixing that modal port dialog that comes up when you open more
than one Idea instance?

Sorry, I'm afraid I don't understand you here. If you're talking
about IDEtalk Jabber connection dialog, you can simply choose "Skip
Jabber" and it won't annoy you anymore.

I've got IDETalk installed and upon Idea startup gets a socket
connection. But, let's say I want to open up another instance of Idea in
a new windows. IDETalk attempts to open another socket connection and
displays a modal dialog window alerting you that it can't open a
connection. This modal window is connected to the first window and the
second display a blank screen with just a titlebar until you close the
dialog. Also, if you click just right, you can't even return focus to
the original window.

Perhaps it would be better if IDETalk detects that the port is in use
that it just doesn't try to connect.
