Demetra! Demetra! Demetra!!!

I got a notification yesterday that my longest outstanding and most eagerly desired request, the global inspection API, has been implemented, with a release tag of "First Demetra EAP"! This is incredibly exciting, and puts me on the hook to do a dozen or so really powerful inspections that were previously impossible (although if Bas feels like picking some favorites of his I'd be happy to share). So when do we get it???!!!???

Our plan hasn't changed: the EAP of Demetra will start as soon as 5.1 is
released, which will happen very soon.

As a version freak I must clean my keyboard of all the drooling now :)

Looking forward for 5.1 (so that my team will enjoy all the enhancement)
and for Demetra (which I will use)!

Congratulations on the 5.1 release! Now I'm eagerly awaiting for the first Demetra EAP build :)

I guess we could wait until tomorrow and let them celebrate 5.1 for a few hours before Demetra starts ;)

Congrats!

May I ask, when will be the target release date of Demetra?
Our company would like to purchase a license of IntelliJ this year. I was thinking, if we are going to buy the license for IntelliJ 5 now, and if Demetra will be released this year, most probably we are going to get an upgrade license for Demetra. I think that it will be a good idea to wait for the release of Demetra and pay for Demetra's license only :-). We can wait, since we don't have any big project for now. We can still use Eclipse 3.1 while waiting. But, I am excited to use Demetra. Thank you very much! More power to JetBrains people.

As much as I want Demetra to come out - the EAP has only been open like
a week or so and I hope they take a good length of time over it as
theres alot of good things coming and we all want them to get it right,
and perfect.

Go buy 5.1 NOW and enjoy the bliss and pleasure of coding again, and
look forward to Demetra uber-pleasure in time to come.

Ah! This solves a long standing question I have had for a long time: do they call "summer" the months we call winter or do they have warm winters, in the southern hemisphere?

It's pretty much swapped, my summer is your winter. Although, the
weather here is usually quite erratic so we often have a heavy
rain/foggy winter morning then by 10am its blazing hot sunshine. Or the
complete opposite.

Summer 2006.
Thnx!

By the way, summer here in Japan is August. I think Russia and Japan have the same month of Summer. :)

0

Well, in St.Petersburg the Summer is somewhere around 20 of June :) Usually one week (and like Feb 29 not every year... :( )
