The JProfiler plugin is developed by ej-technologies, so you should ask them about its status. As far as I can see, the latest available version of the plugin is marked as compatible with IntelliJ IDEA 11, but I don't know if there are any compatibility issues when using it.
Please make sure that you don't have a copy of the plugin under the installation directory of IntelliJ IDEA. Plugins which are correctly installed from the repository should never be highlighted as bundled.
JetBrains' favorite profiler has always been YourKit, not JProfiler.
I am running on a Mac. Where is the plugin directory?
From within IntelliJ, the JProfiler plugin is marked as "bundled" and can not be uninstalled. There is no plugin directory in my Applications folder where the IntelliJ executable is located.
I installed IntelliJ 11 fresh, and then ran JProfiler IDE integration. What did JProfiler do?
Looks like the "Integrate with IDE" feature of JProfiler installs the plugin directly under the IntelliJ IDEA installation directory. This is not a very good thing to do, and leads to your inability to uninstall the plugin.
I couldn't reproduce the problem with installing from the repository; this works just fine for me.
The plugins which are downloaded but not installed are stored under ~/Library/Caches/IntelliJIdea11/plugins For a completely clean installation, you need to delete ~/Library/Caches/IntelliJIdea11, ~/Library/Preferences/IntelliJIdea11 and ~/Library/Application Support/IntelliJIdea11

Hi Dmitry, long time
The plug is available but broken.
In the Plug settings list, it shows as "bundled" but is colored red. There is no obvious error message.
I have also posted this question on the EJ site.
I hope it works soon. IntelliJ and JProfiler completely rock together :-D
Thanks
P
P.S. I haven't looked at profilers lately. Is there something even better than JProfiler available now?

More info...
I deleted and reinstalled IntelliJ 11. Now the JProfiler "bundled" plugin is gone.
I browsed the available plugins, and clicked on JProfiler. It became green, was labelled "downloaded", and "will activate at next startup"
But after a restart the plugin is still marked green, labelled "downloaded", and "will activate at next startup"
Any ideas?
Thanks
P

Hi Dmitry,
Still no love :-(
I deleted all IntelliJ installations, and reinstalled 11 fresh.
However, when I browsed for the JProfiler plugin, it still showed as green and "downloaded". It still said that it would activate on the next startup.
Obviously, I didn't clean everything. Where does 11 put downloaded plugins on a Mac? What is the complete list of places to delete to be really fresh?
Thanks
P
