Classes are not added to Subversion automatically in Grails project

When working on a normal Java project when I create a class it is automatically added to Subversion for me. In a Grails project if I create a class/service/controller/etc I have to add the file to Subversion manually (i.e. the file is red until I do a Subversion->Add). Is there a reason this is so or is there  just a setting I am missing? Or is this just a bug?

This occurs in both 10.5.2 and the latest EAP 110.291.
