Idea temporary files

Hi All!

I'm sorry if it is already posted, but I could not find it.

I have the latest Idea installed and J2EE application project with several
Web and Java modules.
When I rebuild project first time after I've started Idea all is OK.
But when I try to do it once more Idea says "Could not be copy file
'<my-jar-name>..._.tmp'."
I've noticed that old Idea left all it's temporary files after rebuild, but
new version deletes such files. And after this deletion Idea tries to copy
these files.
Restart helps, but I'm looking for another solution. Any suggestions?

Thanx,
Andrei.

Can you specify your OS, IDEA build number, JDK version you are running IDEA
under?

Possible cases:
- Google Desktop Search, Antiviral monitor or similar tools blocking access
to files for a moment thus breaking IDEA renames/moves
- JDK bug with NIO on some exotic platforms
- something else

Hello Serge,
I use IntelliJ IDEA 5.0.2 build number 3542 (but it seems I've noticed such
behaviour in 3516 first time) running under bundled JDK , Windows XP SP2
with all updates.
I also have Symantec Antivirus running with all updates.

WBR,
Andrei.

Hello Andrei,

AK> suggestions?

Is your app server running when you build? I've hit a similar problem (http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEA-5588)
and stopping the server before rebuild seems to help.

HTH,
Andrei
