Slow CVS tagging in 3536?

Has anyone else noticed CVS tagging seems EXTREMELY slow under this build. This is on WinXP. I was able to tag much quicker with WinCVS. This did not used to be the case. I think 3526 was working ok.

Thanks,
Steve

Could be related to the issue I posted in the CVS Support (EAP) forum. I get extremely slow cvs project updates with 3536.
Try removing the two "-XX:JavaPriority..." lines from idea's bin\idea.exe.vmoptions file and see if you still have the same problem.

My CVS performance is pretty bad as well - took me almost 8 minutes to check a project in yesterday! Unfortunately I didn't have the CPU profiler on, as it was maxed out the entire time.

Brent,

That made a huge difference in an update. I'll try tagging later. Do you have a link to the issue on this matter?

Thanks,
Steve

I saw your other post. Is there an open issue on this item? I wasn't finding one when searching.

Steve,

Glad to hear it's cut the delay in your updates. I don't know of the bug having been logged yet. We only noticed it when build 3356 was released yesterday. The two lines causing the problem are a work-around for a known bug in jdk 1.5, which i understand will be fixed in update 6. They certainly seemed to fix the problem of idea locking-up, on my machine, but had an unexpected side-effect on cvs.

Well, we've decided to downgrade to 1.5.0_04 for IDEA 5.0.2 bugfix update,
so the problem should be "fixed".
