cvs checkin empty comment

I often want to commit without comment.
Each time I delete the last used comment, it pops up again the next time.
-> should save the empty comment instead, after having commited comment-less I do not want to reuse an older comment

I agree that it should remember an empty comment, but I'm also curious

I do it all the time ;)

come on, it is not required to write
"fixed a typo in the readme, and modified a comment in Xabc.java" then "oh sorry, had to fix another typo" as checkin comments.

Often it is really sufficent that people just look at the diff if they want to know what has been committed.

Each to his own, but I have a strongly different opinion.

When I look over all changes from last weeks team work, I do NOT want to fight my way through one-hundred-fifty-seven diffs. I really prefer

You obviously don't work for us. Our CVS server doesn't allow empty
checkin messages ;)

Personally, I think typing a short message is no great hardship and
helps people who scan the daily commit reports or TMate.
