latest builds uninstaller removes the whole settings

Regardless of checking boxes related to deleting cache/setting they are removed during uninstall:

Remove folder: C:\Documents and Settings\dse\My Documents\..\.IntelliJIdea50\
Delete file: D:\IDEA\bin\..\bin\Uninstall.exe
Delete file: D:\IDEA\bin\..\jre\CHANGES
...

Was the folder actually removed, or do you just think it was removed because
of the log file entry? The root settings folder should be removed only if
it is empty.

Hello Dmitry,

The folder is ACTUALLY removed. I was lucky to have a symbolic link (leading to old '.IntelliJIDea' settings) instead of this folder, so i didn't loose my settings/caches. But if i didn't, i would have lost all.

Dima.

As far as I understand, the situation is different - the directory was deleted
because it was a symlink, and the NSIS uninstaller considered it as empty.
It would not have been deleted if it was a real non-empty directory.
