Localized IDEA (Chinese/Japanese)?

Is IntelliJ IDEA available in Chinese and Japanese? I've tried to search and could not find it. I could not even switch the JetBrains / IntelliJ web pages to a non-English language. Are JetBrains' products so unpopular among non-English speakers?

I think most developers understand English in a reasonable way ;)

By the way ... is there a chinese/japanese localization of Java?

I think at least german should by supported.

Paket de.bewalt.funktionen;

Importiere de.bewalt.hilfeleistende;

Klasse HalloWelt {

     öffentlich statisch wertlose hauptfunktion(Zeichenkette[] argumente) {

          System.ausgabe.schreibeZeile("Hallo Welt!\z");

     }

}

[edit:
I think localizations of development environments are the worst thing ever can happen. If you choose to run e.g. RAD in e.g. german:
1. No one else will understand what you try to explain.
2. You will never find any function which is described in internet forums.
3. If you ask someone for help he/she first will tell you: "Can you please change the language to english."
This is what I learned.

Well, I am trying to get some developers who are Chinese and Japanese to switch over to IntelliJ IDEA. Imagine when try to switch over to the new IDE - the menus, commands, and methods to do the same thing will be entirely different, PLUS the interface/menus is not in their familiar language. All these will be discouraging for any non-English developers to switch.

Please also understand that the Japanese and Chinese are very close-minded communities. They have their forums and support groups in their respective language. My worst discovery was that there is an equivalent of Spring framework for the Japanese community: [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seasar]. All the documentation are in Japanese. The amazing thing is that the Japanese really think this framework is superior to the Spring framework! Many Japanese developers will even try to avoid reading English.

So, that is why I'm looking for non-English versions of IDEA. I'm disappointed if there is none.

As I said before my experiences of localized IDE's are not good because I'm working in a global development team where it would not be practical to use different languages even for the local development environment.

Your point is that it is easier to migrate to a new program if it supports the native language. I too prefer a german OS over an english one (or a Suaheli one).

It interests me what development environment your guys are using in what language.

I wonder if Rails had been so successfull with only japanese documentation. But maybe its only some sort of copy protection ;-)

Hello,

There are no localized versions of IntelliJ IDEA in Chinese and Japanese.
We did have a Japanese localized version at one time, but its existence didn't
lead to any significant growth of our sales in Japan, so we did not update
the localization to newer releases of the product.

Is IntelliJ IDEA available in Chinese and Japanese? I've tried to
search and could not find it. I could not even switch the JetBrains /
IntelliJ web pages to a non-English language. Are JetBrains' products
so unpopular among non-English speakers?
