Dependent WebApp Modules

If I have 2 or more web modules, let's call them WebA, WebB and WebC with the following dependencies: WebA depends on WebB depends on WebC.

Now WebA and WebB both build an exploded folder. Let's say WebC/WebB together form a default web application and WebA just adds some customization.

In case a file of WebB is also present in WebA, which of them is supposed to get into WebA's exploded folder? Always the one from WebA overriding WebB's file or the last modified one?

I am experiencing this problem with the web.xml at the moment with build 3401. I think this never happend before, so is it a bug in the latest EAP? I have WebA which depends on WebB. Both have a web.xml configured. After a clean build I have the web.xml of WebA in the exploded folder of WebA which is correct. Then I start another make immediately and get WebB's web.xml into the exploded folder of WebA which is wrong. After that I never get WebA's web.xml back unless I manually delete the exploded folder's web.xml from the file system.

Hi,

I just took a look into Jira and found

a) an at least similar issue:
http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEA-1287

b) exactly my problem:
http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEABKL-2645

The strange thing is that (b) was filed in February whereas I am facing
this problem only for a few days now and never had it before.

I too just noticed that problem. If WebModuleX depends on WebModuleY, and I make the PROJECT, WebModuleY's web.xml ends up in WebModuleX's exploded dir. But if I make the WebModuleX MODULE, WebModuleX's web.xml ends up the exploded dir. There is a lot of general funkiness going on with exploded webapps. I would be more than happy to speak to any engineer at JetBrains who is working on this. I really want to see this issue, as well as:

http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEADEV-1357

Fixed for 5.0. Any chance of this?
