How to Change the Alt+Enter keymap

HI,
I am using IntelliJ 10.5 and it is great except for onw problem. The code editor sometimes wants to add an import statement and therfore shows a popup window
that says to hit Alt+Enter to pick from the popup choices. However, for some reason when using TightVNC the Alt+Enter does not work. When I go to the Keymap
dialog and hit Alt+Enter on any of the choices I see IntelliJ interprets the keystroke as Alt+Alt Graph+Enter

I don't know why the Alt Graph is there. Anttime I hit the ALt key I get the Alt + Alt Graph key stroke in the Keymap editor. Is there a way to fix this?

I then tried to change the keymap of Alt+Enter to something else but I can't find any option in the keymap editor that always me to change this.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I don't think this is a problem of IntelliJ but of either your VNC Server or your VNC Viewer that this additional Alt Graph is inserted.

You could either try another VNC Server or another VNC Viewer or both to get rid of the Alt Graph that shouldn't be there.

Another way would of course be to redefine the keybindings or add additional ones.
I'm not sure what your question is here.
"Show Intention Actions" is the action you want to change the key mapping for.
For that either replace the existing Alt+Enter mapping or add a second one.
Just select the action and then click on "Add Keyboard Shortcut".
Then you can press any combination you want as "First Stroke" like e. g. Alt+Alt Graph+Enter.

Thank you for your reply. The Show Intentions was what I was looking for. Thanks

Next time you can also use the "Shortcut Filter", that is the button right next to the action name filter field, while not using VNC. There you can filter for all actions that have the specified Keystrokes.
Btw. if you question was answered you should also mark the thread as answered.
