There is however an alternative that can please 'more' people. Provide two L&F's: One called "Dark Alloy" (what is currently called Alloy) and one called "True Alloy", which would be what we had before and quite a bit closer to the true Alloy from Incors.com.

Sure, +1, why not. I couldn't stand the old Alloy, and am loving the new one. If would, in fact, be even cooler if it were named "Dark Alloy", so it's all upside for me.

It's not dark! At least it isn't dark to me. Colors (on Windows) come from
native desktop properties. It is quite light on XP blue theme.

It would be great if IDEA provided an Alloy L&F theme selector (check the alloy documentation), so the user can choose which of the built-in themes to use. Alloy itself come with 4 or 5 themes, and IDEA just added another one.

I just did that. So we have 5 themes on windows and 4 on other OSes. So I
have 10 LaF choices on my standard XP box.
Whoever will like more to add would most probably be rejected...

In fact, Im liking 3354 a whole lot. Nice work.

Just if IDEA use AlloY LaF, it must AlloW to change options of this LaF...

I wonder if it's a 2K vs. XP thing, because on 2K honestly it
doesn't look too good (or at least not much different than the
IDEA 4.5 (default) one).

Can't wait for the next build, at least we'll have the option :)
