OT:Modal dialogs fixed in the latest mustang build

Offtopic, I know, but...

http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4080029

Has finally been marked as fixed. This means it's going to be actually feasible to work with two open projects in IDEA, once JDK6 is released... somewhen still on the current century.

(P.S.: oh, it's good to have something to brag about to the Mac users once in a while. Having access to Mustang builds has been such a bliss).

I must say, I've been running EAP builds under 1.6 on XP for awhile now and its pure bliss. I could never understand what folks were talking about when they said 1.5 was faster then 1.4, but 1.6 is fantastic. Except for one plugin (CodeOutline), I havent had any issues with EAP builds I couldn't reproduce with 1.5.

The double buffering (http://weblogs.java.net/blog/zixle/archive/2005/04/no_more_gray_re_1.html) is great, no more grey screens, and whether its perceived or real, the whole damn thing (IDEA) truly feels as snappy as a native win32 app, even more so then SWT apps I use.

Have they fixed the problem with not redrawing left gutter area in idea on
scrolling with mouse wheel they had in mustang b32?

Apparently not. The gutter has lots of redraw problems when
mouse-wheel-scrolling in b38.

However, being able to benefit from the non-toolkit modality
will be great the day you guys add the mustang-specific line
of code to do it :)

Vince.

And since we have weird IT departments who feel moving to OSX Tiger is
not a good thing, hence delaying JetBrains and others from moving to JDK
5 full time, you will be waiting a long long time after its release to
see such changes.

enjoy :)

I should also say, and thanks to Apple for not releasing JDKs on
existing platforms too... that is just as retarded as the IT
department's decision.
