cache/jars: why six-plicates?

I've just had a look at the jars cache, and it looks like they all
appear many (6..8) times .

For example, I can see:
antlr-2.7.4.jar.4fe67252
antlr-2.7.4.jar.9a7d6f92
antlr-2.7.4.jar.11c85200
antlr-2.7.4.jar.29a21e69
etc..

Same prefix, same size. Same date for three of them.

Is that normal?
Can't it be optimed (auto clean obsolete cached data)

Those seem to be located in different places in the filesystem. We have to
be ready one of those will be changed while others not. That's why keeping
separate caches per each jar.
