eap setup

i read that extracting zips over existing eap installations is not recommendet. so I just downloaded the installer for
the newest eap und set it up on a new folder.

this requires me to
1. enter the license information
2. re-configure all JDKs that I need
3. all my settings are lost
ok, I could copy some config folder, but how the
hell should I know if this might not also cause some weird bugs?

Suggestion: provide a one-click procedure for making a
new EAP ready for usage

...it is taking my time to test your EAP builds ;)

Please take a look at bin/idea.properties file. You're only have to reconfigure
this file so newer build takes settings from old place.
Moreover you can specify alternative location of the file by defining IDEA_PROPERTIES
environment variable.
