tracking plugin versions

It would be nice if there were a way to quickly compare the version of
a plugin you have installed with the most recent version, and to be
notified of out of date plugins installed when you fire up, the way

Your top priority should be fixing bugs. If you carry on development,
you are just creating more places you will have to search for them.

I dont get what does it mean "compare the version ofa plugin you have installed with the most recent version"
you want subversion diff? but even not all plugins are open-source

to be notified -> use plugin "PluginUpdateNotifier"

No, I meant just compare version numbers. Display them side by side
and highlight any differences.  While you are at it, make it easy to
discover the release date of the version you have installed and the
release date of the latest version.

Cool, I did not know it existed. Should really be part of the core IDE (hopefully JetBrains guys are listening!).

Instant wish fulfillment.  Thanks very much! Make sure you pick the

Refactor early. If you procrastinate, you will have
even more code to adjust based on the faulty design.
