How to disable indexing ?
I am working in a medium size codebase (maybe 25K classes). Indexing keeps restarting from the top on it even if just a few small files changed . I need to kill that - I can't get any use out of IJ when it is continuously working away like that.
What I would plan to do: (a) allow indexing to complete (45 mins?) and meanwhile do not make changes to any files at all. (b) DISABLE indexing altogether. Yes I know, changes to files will not show up, but at least IJ would be 90% usable instead of < 10%

Hello Stephen,
Indexing cannot be disabled without losing most of IDEA functionality. To
see why it's continuouly restarting, please file a YouTrack issue and attach
idea.log - it shows the reason why indexing is restarted.
