Jira problem and suggestion

Problem:

In the new JIRA there's no category for JIRA: there's no way of reporting
problems and suggestions for the JIRA system.

Suggestion:

When creating a new issue in IDEA Feedback, the component list is missing
another entry: User Interface.

Most of the usability problems are in the user interface - wrong menu entries,
missing tooltips, non working keyboard accelerators, etc. This probably happens
also on the other JIRA categories, but I haven't looked there.

Carlos,

I'm not quite sure I understand properly what you've meant. "User Interface"
component added though.

File such bugs directly to atlassian:
http://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa

Filing a bug directly to Atlassian isn't always the right thing to do. Sometimes we want to make a suggestion/bug report about the specific Jira installation at JetBrains, not Jira itself -- so Carlos' request makes sense.

That being said, you're also right :) bug reports about Jira itself should be filed directly to Atlassian.

For issues usually classified as "Usability problems" (missing or wrong
mnemonics, tooltips, popup menus, accelerator keys, etc), an "User Interface"
component is any of:

Todo panel
Project panel
Structure panel
Idea Main menus
Settings panel/subpanel
Open file dialog
Export/import settings dialog
Run dialog
Debug dialog
...

In short, any and all of: frame, dialog, panel, popup, menu, etc. that doesn't
have an entry for itself.
