3200: Editor left gutter is indistinguishable from editable text area
Hi all,
I'm braving the EAP waters and I've noticed that in the new Alloy L&F
the left gutter in the editor has the same white background as the
editable text area. If I change the background colour to something else,
the left gutter remains white. I have yet to find the appropriate item
in the Colors & Fonts to change the left gutter's background colour.
Having them the same colour makes it very hard to see the actual
indentation of the text and looks rather odd to have code outlines and
other markers not within a visible gutter. I was thinking that perhaps a
very light blue or a lighter version of the dialog background colour
would do nicely. Should I file this as a JIRA issue?
Ciao,
Gordon

I've noticed this, but only on Linux. Seems fine on windows...
I actually like the way it appears under Alloy... Folding outline makes enough
distinction between editor and gutter area IMO.
Special Color&Fonts options won't hurt anyway, feel free to submit request
to JIRA.

I don't have the folding outline turned on which I think makes it
harder. I'll see if I get used to it...
Agreed and submitted as IDEA-317.
