UTF-8

Hi.

I have a file that is saved in the system default encoding and now I
need to put international characters in it (for example Hebrew).

I tried entering them and saving the file - they come back as question
marks after I close and open IDEA.

I tried changing the default encoding to UTF-8 and they were still lost.

My question is: How do I take a file and change its encoding to UTF-8?

I hope I can do that from within IDEA, but if I can't just tell me how.

Thanks,
Amnon

I have exactly the same problems with IDEA and UTF-8 encoded files.

Apparently, after switching to UTF-8 as chosen file encoding, closed and
reopened IDEA, it now saves my file correctly. Hurray!
