IDEA L&F and progress bars
I've noticed that IDEA always override the progress bar style, no matter what L&F you choose. This is a great improvement over the default metal look, but if you're using another L&F, it may stick out in a bad way.
Any chance to have the ProgressBar styling applied only when you've selected the IDEA L&F?

OS X is a different beast. Everything (except shortcuts, take that!) seems to work better there. Apple did a really good job integrating Java on OS X. Unfortunately, not all of us got a Mac :(

Huh... funny I guess Mac folks are more needy or something, because we
all seem to think that Apple is doing quite a crappy job, when it comes
to performance and interface quirks, but particularly UI performance, in
integrating java on OS X.
Mac Mini dude... it's cheap, no more excuses :)

I'll buy one when Apple Brasil stops being so greedy. My whole PC (with a 19" CRT included) was still cheaper than the Mac Mini. And we're talking about a programming/gaming machine, not a sub-par desktop PC.
Ah yeah, there are the smugglers. Maybe I'll manage to smuggle a mini from the US -- it would be easy to tell customs it's just a toaster or something like that.
you can't wait that long ;)
price/value ratio for Apple hardware is awful, always has been.
But you get an excellent Operating System on top of it.
I'd say it's worth it...
