Where on earth is this .NET Common Language Runtime (CLR) located?

Hi,

Where is the damn CLR located in the computer? Can somebody PLEEESE enlighten me? I mean it has to be an .exe right?

It's so frustating to read about this CLR but not have anyting to map it to in the computer.

I don't think it's an EXE. I think it's a DLL, which is loaded by each .NET
program EXE file.

The CLR is located in your %WINDIR%\Microsoft.NET\Framework directory.

CLR 1.0 is in \v1.0.3705 and
CLR 1.1 is in \v1.1.4322
