3117 and Tomcat 5.5.4

Have you tried pointing the startup and shutdown scripts to the correct
location in the Startup/Connection tab of your tomcat run/debug
configuration?

Tomcat 5.5.4 doesn't seem to have a bin/catalina.bat

catalina.bat is still contained in the archived zip or tar.gz file of Tomcat 5.5.x.
