Irida - Pallada project file sharing

Hi.

Is it possible to share project files between Irida and Pallada?

What is lost in the conversion back and forth? How safe is it?

Thanks,
Amnon

I tried it today, with no ill affect (so far).

I was not so successful with this. Once Irida had opened the file, Pallada no longer could.

I would say this is NOT recommended. There are some flaky things that
happen in the new build. Once it breaks your project, it has to be
redefined. Might be better to copy your projects files in case you need
them back.

It is possible to fix the project file for Pallada after opening it in Irida, I believe. There's a post about it somewhere, I just can't find it now. I think it was something about removed a tag (and subtags) relating to
structured search from the .iml file.
It's better to make a backup of your project files though.

I would think those would not cause a problem. The extra tags might get
ignored. I am referring to your project getting screwed by the
bugginess of the first build. Then the project is so beat up, Pallada
can't use it either.

The problem I believe is in the .iws file. You need to remove the
StructuralSearch element and its contents. Or just delete the .iws file.
That worked for me.
