Option -Xrunyjpagent:port=10100 in Irida script

Hello, All!

I think, that this option may cause some crashes in case of YKP not
installed, is it realy needed?

Thanks!

Hi,

Necessary files should be in IDEA install so no YJP install needed.

Hello Alexey,

you don't need to have installed copy of YourKit Java Profiler to capture
CPU and memory snapshot.
I suppose IDEA has all necessary files on board :)

I know that instaling YKP on Linux is needed to have yjpagent.so in
libraries. Maybe this is cause of crashes on Linux or not?

Thanks!

It can't find libyjpagent.so, but maybe this problem already solved, i'm
talked as delegate :))
I see your previous post in this thread, it seems to to a solution :)

Thanks!

adding libyjpagent.so to LD_LIBRARY_PATH should help. But IDEA doesn't
contain libyjpagent.so compiled with GCC 2.9x, so IDEA will not start on
outdated Linuxes like RH 7.3

I have been having crashes on W2K Pro. The only time it crashes is when
the YourKit is listening on port 10..... window is open (inconsistent
display so needs some work). If I try to close IntelliJ when that
window is displayed, 3 minutes later poof.

BTW, I like YourKit.
