IDEA's Code Completion Autopopup after every word, not just after . ?

Hi,

I just got IDEA 9 recently and I'm loving it except for this option I can't seem to find (assuming it exists), in Eclipse or Netbeans I could set the Code Completion so that the Autopopup shows after writing any character, not only after ".", so that if I start typing St, it will show the popup with string as an option.
If there is no native option, does anyone know of a plugin that could do this?

Thanks

Hi Denis,

Thanks for the tip, I'm aware of the shortcuts for autocomplete, I'm looking for an option to show the autopopup automatically without needing to use a shortcut, showing it as you type.

Hi Sebastián,

IDEA doesn't provide such facility.

You can see available 'autopopup' conditions at 'IDE Settings -> Editor -> Code Completion -> Autopopup'.

Feel free to submit corresponding ticket about adding such functionality and vote it up/monitor its progress. I believe it can be introduced to IDEA if community shows that it has a real value.

There is currently no such feature in IDEA. You can create a feature
request in YouTrack.
