subversion info in file decorators

Hi all,

I'm a new IntelliJ convert -- I'm finding that I'm missing the file label decorators in Eclipse which allows me to view svn info such as last change author, last change date, revision number, etc.

Is there a setting for this? Or even a plugin?

Ta!

Hello funkibrewster,

No, there is no option in IntelliJ IDEA to see this information directly
in the project view. You can view all this information if you open a file
and invoke the "Show History" action.

How do you use this information when developing?

Hi Dmitry,

Thanks for your response.

Our code base is huge and has been around for around 10 years, and is constantly undergoing refactoring, etc. So it's quite handy to be able to figure out at a glance if the files you are changing are the right ones to be changed (if it hasn't been modified for a long time, then there's a good reason for it). Also we have junior developers that tend to template (ie copy/paste) existing solutions so it helps if they're using the latest versions of the code. It also helps in reviewing code because you can recognise the work of dodgy devs straightaway :)

More obviously, if you notice that the file you're about to change was just recently changed then you can easily work out who to contact if you need to.
