Compiler process fails to start (still)

I get this error when compiling. This occured in 2232 and now in 2235. I
have filed tracker
http://www.intellij.net/tracker/idea/viewSCR?publicId=37232, but have
gotten no reply from jetbrains.

Has anybody ever seen this error? Does anybody have a project with 67
module (and growing)?

I've finally decided to make idea the module structure mirror our ant
module structure, but am hitting this wall. I've build this structure in
eclipse and it builds fine and fast.

I think the argument length is just too long.
I had similar problems when calling java from ant tasks.

I suggest to give up and try to reduce your number
of modules somehow...

to compile, you could give a try to Build->Generate Ant Build

(Hmm, I thought this post failed, so I just posted it again under "too
many modules considered harmuful". Sorry for the duplication.)

This is what I suspect is the problem. I see no point in an IDE module
system that limits the system architecture.

We generally only use our ant build for deployments, and thus invalid
dependency tend to creep past idea. We want to enforce our system
architecture in real-time. The eclipse project I built with the 70 or
projects compiles clean and fast. But while eclipse is getting better
and better, it still is a bit clumsly compared to idea.

sure, it's a bad bug.
No response from Jetbrains means it is not easy to fix,
I guess.
