Developing on both windows and Mac, will this be seamless?

Hi,

I want to run IDEA on both a MAC and a Windows7 Desktop computer.

When developing my java application, will I have to do anything special or will the projects open and work in both environments just fine?

From what I understand, I will have to configure the IDE differently since I will have to setup JDK, Tomcat on both computers and they may be installed in different directories etc.
