OS X JDK 1.4.2 Update 1

Looks like 1.4.2 update 1 was quietly released. I hope it all works ok with
IDEA 4.5... If not hopefully Maxim will rip a new rev which will. :\

Ok major issue. Trying to switch app servers, clicked on fix button on
bottom right, goes to paths so you can pic a new app server, choose a new
one, click apply, window goes gray and then nothing. I am switching to
Tomcat.

Otherwise...

Looks like typing speed is greatly improved.

The one thing I've noticed so far is that their redraw is fixed, but because
JB put in a workaround for a funky problem Apple had, there is this funky
jump in interface redraw after you stop scrolling, so I think Maxim you'll
have to yank that for the next build.

Minimize the main idea window and the menu goes away, I still find that
weird, but I understand why it happens, and it doesn't really matter since
if you minimize the main window you can't do anything.

So far I can't get the menu to lock up anymore, maybe Hani can get it to
croke faster, but it looks ok on this end now.

arrow scrolling is very bad, the selected line flickers awfully and jumps as you mentioned.

That's because of a workaround JB had put in to help us out with redraw
issues in DPs. I know that Max is pulling the workaround out so next eap
hopefully will make this better.

There's a huge problem with versions prior to 4.5. I can't type curly brackets in 3.0.5 after applying JDK 1.4.2 Update 1. According to Apple documentation this is due to a bug fix by IntelliJ that isn't needed anymore. Is there any chance IntelliJ will release an updated version of 3.0.5 to remove that work around? That would be very much appreciated. I'm planning to upgrade to IDEA 4.5 soon, but would love to be able to use 3.0.5 until then.
