Structural Search Question

Hi,

I am trying to find all occurances of httpSession.setAttribute("test", ]]>);

How do I do it. I am unable to figure out.... Help is very terse and not at all clear what different options mean.

For e.g:
Text/regular expression
Type a perl-like expression or a class name to be used as a variable constraint. For class names you can utilize basic code completion.

What does the above mean when I am editing values for a method?

It is quite frustrating....

Thanks,
--Venkat.

Try this:

httpSession.setAttribute("test", $value$)

You don't have to specify anything for the $value$ variable. This will find any
occurrence where the session variable is named "httpSession".

With

$session$.setAttribute("test", $value$)

and setting the field "Text / regular expression for java expression type" field to "HttpSession"
(without the quotes) for the session variable, you will find any call to HttpSession.setAttribute()
regardless of the naming of the variable.

Also have a look at the existing templates, those provide some good examples of how to use this powerful
feature.

Hi,
Search for some methods (e.g. find all methods show in descendants of
JComponent).
