This may be tricky to describe but there's been some changes to IntelliJ IDEA 9.0.x that have added folds and configurable Color settings to the Console window. These have been causing problems for me as I've defined a dark theme for the editor. Suddenly I now get dark editor fold controls in the console. Worse yet is when I hover over the stacktrace folds in console it suddenly reverts any dirty regions from the normal white background to a black one in ugly blocks.. unpleasent and make it very hard to read as foreground colors are rarley as easy to read on white as agaisnt black (doubally so when suddendly, garishly switches on mouse hover).
What I was wondering is can I turn off the new console folds and hover popups or are we supposed to make our consoles also use dark themes.. is there a way to make all wigets use a similarly dark theme? I'm used to the editor being the only scheme I can customise, having a dark editor over a white background debbugger frame ontop of a dark console would look a bit odd.. I think?
Or are these known issues due to be fixed in a later release?
PS. Oh one more thing about the hover popups, the console is normally at the bottom of the screen most of the time. The popup height appears to be limited to the height remaning in the parent console window. Quite often I'm finding a popup will only show 3-5 lines of a much larger fold, theres no way to scroll the contents or float the popups to make them bigger and more regular in size? Not findinging them to be all that useful to be honest.
